Idle Hands

Starring: Devon Sawa, Jessica Alba and Seth Green. 92 min, R

Some lucky producer must be laughing all the way to the bank, because he certainly caught the studio on free Jim Bean Day. Well, at least that is the only reason I can think of how this film made it past an idea concieved by some very odd man.

A pot smoking teen's (Sawa) right hand gets inhabited by a ghoulish spirit. The evil hand ends up killing his parents and his best friends (who don't want to go to heaven because the walk is too far). Oh, did I mention there is a romantic subplot involving the often scantly clad Jessica Alba. Hello, plot, where are you? I can't find you.

Overly gross and overly stupid production. The only watchable part of this film is the recycled jokes from horror films past, which are still as funny the second time around. Rating: D
